Donut crumbs1/11/2024 ![]() Adding milk dilutes the lemon flavor, so use it sparingly and only if necessary. Only if necessary, thin by adding milk 1 tsp at a time. Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry mixture - dont over mix Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared doughnut pan. Lemon Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest very well. In a separate bowl whisk together the wet ingredients.Allow to cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pan, and then allow to cool completely before glazing. ![]() Bake for 12-14 minutes for donuts, or 9-11 minutes for donut holes, or until the donuts have risen and are golden in color.Portion dough into the donut pan(s), about 3 1/2 tablespoons per donut, or 1 slightly heaping tablespoon per donut hole.Add wet ingredients to dry, stirring JUST until the ingredients are mixed.In a medium bowl, combine flour, lemon zest, salt, and baking powder.In a small bowl, combine milk, lemon juice, vanilla, honey OR maple syrup, melted butter, and eggs.Preheat the oven to 350F and grease your donut pan(s).Whisk the melted butter, egg, brown sugar, milk, yogurt, and vanilla together until completely combined. My first thought was that those buckets would be great for storing whole grains. The buckets were empty and the shop was selling them for $2 each. One time though when we went to a donut shop, I saw big 5 gallon buckets of hydrogenated vegetable oil in the front of the store. Growing up, donuts on Saturday mornings were a big treat and it’s one of the family traditions I want to pass on to my kids. With all that said though, I really enjoy making my kids donuts on the weekends.
